Eighteen Months

Wow!  18 months...the BEST eighteen months of my life!
Eliza Grace, you are an active little girl!
VERY helpful.  You even like to help me clean!  You also are VERY curious...
You love to climb in EVERYTHING!  Keeping mommy on her toes for sure!
Your personality is one of a kind.  You are very determined and independent...
You are sweet and gentle and LOVE to share...EVEN with Sam!
Every month I keep saying : "THIS is my favorite age/stage."  I am amazed by your growth and all the love I am showered with on a daily basis.  I love all the kisses I get, they make up for the "little fits" you have, ha-ha!
You are a girly girl.  You like to carry a purse and like jewelry too!
But, you also love to play with balls and run around at the park!
Even IF you are wearing a skirt!  That's my girl!
We went to the Doctor for your 18 month check up and
You stood on the big scale ALL by YOURSELF!  No more sitting you in the little baby scale.  This took me by surprised and I may have even gotten a little teary eyed.  You are Amazing!  You weigh 23 1/4 pounds and you are 33 1/4 inches tall.  We go back next week for your immunizations.

17 months and Potty time!

Happy 17 Months. Eliza Grace!
Here is a picture I took of you the morning of your "birthday", 10-19-10.

and another one...
and ONE more cause you are so darn cute!
Eliza Grace you are such a happy girl.  You make me start my day with a huge smile and it continues throughout the day!  I love YOU to the MOON and BACK!

This past weekend Grammi came to visit and we did some power shopping :)  Grammi got you a ton of fall clothes.  And, well Mommy got you potties...ha!

You knew right away where daddy keeps the reading material.
You sat there and read for a while.  You didn't do any "business" this particular time.  BUT, you have "pee-pee'd inthe potty" (imagine me singing this) TWICE since!  You are such a smart girl.  We will keep on trying and getting you familiar with your new thrones.  I even picked up something very special for you when you do go...

CANDY!  Now, you only get these if you go...I'm told by several reliable sources that this sort of bribery works!  I'll keep y'all posted. ;)

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Weekend Recap

It's been a busy few days.  Eliza Grace and I traveled to see Grandma and Grandpa last Wednesday and stayed until Saturday.  It was great to spend some much needed time with them.  Eliza Grace really enjoyed herself.  We spent the days shopping, playing outside, eating grandma's yummy cooking, taking long bubble baths, and lots of hugs to all!  Oh, and grandma made her trick or treat bag (so cute!)  I didn't take many pics because we were on the go so much...here are a couple:
Modeling a cute new outfit I got her because she had a little accident while we were out!

Grandma holding Rufus.  EG never really warmed up to him...maybe next time!

We came home on Saturday and David took us to Fall for Greenville.  It's an annual festival downtown.

Eliza Grace was our tour guide...ha!

Making sure we did not get lost.

And, just plain being cute!

Finally, we ended the festival on a very fun note!!

Sunday was pretty relaxing.  The three of us went for a long walk in the morning.  We spent the afternoon playing around the house and cheering for Da Bears!!
We helped Daddy put up the pumpkin...
They were pretty proud of their work :)
and pretty darn cute, too!
That's it for now.
We are going to continue to hold on to every moment we have been blessed with.

Yum, Yum, eat em up!

In the past day or so Eliza Grace has really gotten the hang of feeding herself with her fork and spoon!
it takes concentration...and a steady hand...
but, SO worth it!

So, I started a blog...finally!

I have thought about starting this blog for months.  Well, to be honest over a year!  I thought it would be a great way to record memories and photos of our family.  Kind of like a virtual photo book.  So, lets see how it goes.

Today started out a gloomy, rainy day.  We spent most if it inside, doing stuff like:

having snacks
and playing with Kleenex, ha-ha!
(this is daddy's favorite).

Then the clouds parted and the sun started to shine.  We decided to head outside for a little bit of fresh air.

I pushed this little cutie around in her convertible.
A neighbor cut these roses and gave them to us.
What a nice surprise!  Eliza Grace loved "smelling" them.
After the cruise, It was time to dispel some energy.
Lots of walking around
and some leaf collection is what this sweet thing had in mind.  And, if you are wondering where those good smelling roses ended up....

We found the most perfect perfect spot on EG's dresser.  I can't even count how many times we have "smelled" them...haha!
Just another reason I love that little girl!
